Diva Day empowers women’s education by providing the platform and tools to foster agency over their bodies, voices, and stories.
Malindi Ayienga founded Diva Day in 2017 to ensure no young woman would have to miss school because of her period. Her vision has reached hundreds of women in Canada and Kenya alike, and only continues to flourish under her leadership. Melissa is thrilled to be Diva Day’s Communications Director and a member of the Creative Team!
This summer, a team of six phenomenal women (Melissa, Malindi, Sam Bourque, Caroline Burton, Sierra Holder, and Sydney Williams) will bring 1,000 DivaCups to ten schools across western Kenya. For more information on how to get involved, check out ddivaday.org.
